Teacher Training Workshops and Study


Thursday afternoons (12pm – 2pm) we have workshops and Pilates Lessons for instructors. These are taught and facilitated by Kirstin deFrees. All discussions are done in the spirit of further understanding of Pilates, anatomy and approaches to teaching.

Upcoming workshop with Blossom Leilani Crawford

Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9 from 10-5pm

Blossom Leliani Crawford is coming to teach four dynamic workshops! Join us at our Belmont Center Studio as she presents “Wunda Chair Wonders,” “Kathy Grant’s Cats and Beyond,” “Before the Hundred,” and “Cadillac Fun.” Blossom will lead us through the nitty-gritty of the classical work, sharing her understanding of the Pilates vocabulary developed during her many years of assistantship to elder Kathy Grant.

These workshops are a fantastic opportunity for Pilates teachers and dedicated students of all lineages. We welcome you to join us!

Fascia is the word of the decade in the body arts; Tom Meyer’s text Anatomy Trains was the book that brought this discussion to the forefront. These sessions are an introduction to Tom Meyer’s Anatomy Trains in the context of Pilates and functional movement.
